Ben Tulis is an experienced employment lawyer who provides advice and counsel to employers and employees on labor and employment issues. 

Prior to starting his own practice, Ben was a partner at a nationwide management-side labor and employment law firm, where he worked for more than a decade, and more recently spent two years as a partner at a boutique firm with an employment practice serving both employees and employers. At the start of his career Ben practiced in New York representing accounting firms and related financial professionals in connection with all aspects of their businesses. 

Ben counsels both employees and employers on a wide variety of employment issues, including wage and hour laws, leaves of absence, employment-related agreements, incentive plans, independent contractor classifications and agreements, exempt/non-exempt classifications, company policies, reductions in force, employee separations, litigation avoidance, and workplace trainings and seminars. Ben also conducts audits in various areas, including wage and hour, leaves of absence, due diligence audits, and other compliance areas. 

Before transitioning to his advice and counsel practice, Ben litigated and arbitrated several matters through verdict. He uses this experience and big picture perspective to help clients avoid litigation. 

Ben received his B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University in 2007 and J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 2010. At Texas, Ben was the Editor-in-Chief of the Texas Review of Entertainment & Sports Law. 

Ben spends his free time with his wife Claire, children Max and Ollie, and his cockapoo “Shea.” Ben also coaches his sons’ baseball teams and is their biggest fan (and they are his biggest fans when he plays softball). Ben is from New York and remains an avid Mets, Jets and (World Champion) Knicks fan. The adversity of being a lifelong fan of these teams has certainly helped Ben counsel clients through even the toughest of times.
